This is the regular meeting of the Geneseo District 228 Board of Education held at 209 S. College Avenue, Geneseo, IL.

These policies were all presented for First Reading at the September 9, 2010 Regular Board meeting.
This section allows the Board to approve employment, resignations and requested leaves of absence.
These Action Items have typically been reviewed as Information Items at a previous meeting, and/or require additional deliberation and discussion at the Board meeting as individual items for approval.
For the past several years the District has authorized an agreement with the Geneseo Community Park District for a corporate membership, which allows employees access to Park District memberships at 35% discount.
The District also authorizes up to $30,000 for Wellness options with Hammond Henry Hospital, including flu shots and blood chemistry profiles for certain individuals who are covered by the Health Insurance Program.
Mr. Schlindwein sets the bid opening dates/times as close as possible to the Regular Board meeting date so that we have the most current bid prices. Information will be shared at the meeting. We request bids for 3 months, 6 months and 9 month bids as a general practice.
These are items that are typically first presentations to the Board or items that have required additional deliberation, discussion or presentation.
Dr. Swanson has included longitudinal ISAT and Prairie State Exam results.
The property tax levy is approved each year in December and filed with the County Clerks of Henry and Whiteside Counties. The Board of Education will hold a Truth in Taxation Hearing prior to final adoption of the levy.
The Regional Office of Education recently toured the physical plant of the District and also checked a number of policy and personnel-related issues to determine our level of recognition as per the Illinois State Board of Education rules and regulations. The District should have a preliminary report of any findings.
