·       Statements that make clear those things which we will and will not do to achieve our vision and mission; define for us what we stand for

District mission/vision/purpose statements

·       Does the mission statement accurately reflect our unique purpose? 

o    What is our purpose as a Board and as a District?

o    Does it answer, in the broadest sense, the question “What benefits will be provided for our students?”

·       What aspirations and expectations do we have for our community and schools? (vision)

Identifying & discussing what is

·       Based on our current targets

o    What is going well?  How do you know?

o    What needs improvement?  How do you know?

What are our District goals/ academic goals and priorities?

·       District goals should address a need, eliminate a problem or build upon an existing strength.
